Hair Restoration
Hair
Restoration
Two ways to approach thinning hair. Medical treatment that works on regrowth, and scalp micropigmentation that restores the look of density straight away.
Start With Why
Find The Cause Before You Treat The Symptom
Hair thins for a reason. Hormones, thyroid function, iron and vitamin levels, medication, stress and genetics all play a part, and they call for different responses. Treating the scalp without knowing which of those is driving it is guesswork.
That is why the medical side of this starts with a $25 consultation with our provider rather than a treatment. We review the contributing factors, order lab work if the picture needs it, and only then decide what belongs in your plan. That might be a prescription, it might be in-office therapy, it might be both alongside a daily routine at home.
There is also a second path. Scalp micropigmentation does not regrow hair, it recreates the look of it, and the result is there the day you walk out. Plenty of clients use one, some use both. The consultation is where we work out which.

BookThe Other Path
Scalp Micropigmentation
SMP is a cosmetic tattoo, not a regrowth treatment. Thousands of tiny pigment deposits replicate the look of natural hair follicles, so a thinning crown reads as density and a receding hairline reads as a sharp, freshly shaved one. The result is visible the day you leave, it does not wash off, and it does not need a daily routine.
Being Straight With You
What SMP Does And Does Not Do
What It Does
Creates the appearance of density where hair has thinned.
Rebuilds a hairline, including a receded one.
Conceals scars, including from transplant surgery.
Delivers a visible result immediately, with no daily upkeep.
What It Does Not Do
Grow hair, or stop hair you still have from thinning further.
Add texture or length. It is pigment on the scalp, not hair.
Last forever. Pigment softens over the years and needs refreshing.
Replace a medical workup if something treatable is driving your loss.
How It Runs
From Consult To Plan
Assessment
Your provider reviews your history, your pattern of thinning and the factors that may be driving it, including hormones.
Lab Work If Needed
Where the picture calls for it, we order bloodwork so the plan is built on results rather than assumptions.
Your Plan
A combination chosen for you. That may include prescription treatment, in-office therapy and a daily at-home routine.
Review And Adjust
Hair responds slowly. We track progress across months and adjust the plan rather than repeating it blindly.
Practical Details
What To Expect
Hair restoration is medical treatment. Outcomes depend on the cause of your thinning, how long it has been present and how consistently you follow the plan. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. Nothing here reverses hair loss where the follicle is no longer viable, which is one of the things the consultation is there to establish.
On scalp micropigmentation. SMP is a cosmetic tattoo. It is not suitable over active scalp infection or inflammation, and scars need to be fully healed, generally at least 12 to 18 months old and stable in color, before they can be camouflaged. Pigment softens over time and periodic refreshing is normal.
On prescriptions. Minoxidil and Finasteride are prescription-only and are issued at your provider’s discretion after assessment. Finasteride is not suitable for women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are nursing. Bring a full list of your medications and supplements to your consultation.
Paying For Treatment
Spread The Cost If You Prefer
Treatment can be paid in full or financed with Affirm on orders over $50, so you can spread the cost over time rather than all at once. You will see the option at checkout.
Viva Beauty Bank members build a credit balance each month that can be applied to any treatment on the menu, including hair restoration.
Common Questions
Before You Book
Why does the consultation cost $25?
Because it is a medical assessment rather than a sales conversation. Your provider reviews the factors behind your thinning and may order lab work. That work informs everything that follows, which is why we would rather do it properly than skip it.
Do I need a blood draw for PRP?
No. Our PRP plus exosomes treatment is delivered without the traditional blood draw, which is the main reason clients choose it over conventional PRP.
How long before I see anything?
Months rather than weeks. Hair grows on its own schedule, and any treatment is working on follicles that will not visibly respond straight away. We track progress across several months and adjust the plan as we go.
Which treatment should I book?
Book the consult and let the assessment answer that. Broadly, Ultra Plus with Dérive is the entry point, PRP plus exosomes is the middle option, and exosomes with Wharton’s jelly is the most aggressive plan we offer.
What is the difference between SMP and the medical treatments?
The medical treatments work on the follicle and aim to change what grows. SMP does not touch growth at all, it places pigment in the scalp so the area reads as denser. One takes months and may or may not work depending on the cause of your loss. The other works the day it is done, on anyone, but is a cosmetic result rather than a biological one.
Can I have both?
Yes, and plenty of clients do. A common pattern is starting medical treatment to protect and improve what you still have, then using a density fill to close the visual gap while that works. Bring it up at either consultation and we will map out the order.
Will SMP look obvious?
Not when it is done properly. The technique places thousands of individual deposits sized and toned to match your own follicles, and the hairline is designed with you before anything is applied. Come to the free consultation and look at real healed results before deciding.
Do you treat women as well as men?
Yes. Thinning in women is often driven by hormones, thyroid function or iron levels, which is exactly what the assessment and lab work are for. Note that Finasteride is not suitable for women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are nursing. On the SMP side, Density Fill is designed for exactly the diffused thinning and widening part that women most often come in about, and it keeps your length.
Is the at-home system worth it on its own?
It can be a reasonable starting point if your thinning is early, and it is the routine we build around any in-office plan. What it will not do is substitute for treating an underlying cause the consultation identifies.
How many sessions will I need?
In-office therapy works as a course rather than a single visit. Your provider will recommend the number of sessions and the interval after your assessment, and the take-home care kit is included with packages to support growth between them.
