Facials In
Myrtle Beach

Professional facials built around your skin, not a script. Every treatment starts with an assessment and is customized on the table.

What To Expect

A Facial That Is Actually Built For Your Skin

A facial should do more than feel good for an hour. At Viva La Skin every treatment begins with a licensed esthetician looking closely at your skin, asking what has changed since your last visit, and choosing the exfoliation, extractions, actives and mask that suit it that day.

We work exclusively with medical-grade professional lines, which means higher active concentrations and results you can see rather than a temporary glow. Whether you are treating acne, sun damage from years on the Grand Strand, early signs of aging, or simply keeping healthy skin healthy, there is a treatment on the menu below that fits.

IPL Photofacial

For The Damage A Facial Cannot Reach

IPL uses intense pulses of light to target sun damage, brown spots, redness, visible blood vessels and unwanted pigmentation for clearer, brighter, more even-looking skin. Treatments can be performed on the face and body, including pigmented surgical scars and areas of discoloration.

A facial works on the surface of the skin. IPL works underneath it. The light is absorbed selectively by two things: the melanin in a brown spot and the hemoglobin in a broken capillary. Both are heated, broken down and cleared by the body, and the surrounding skin is untouched. IPL is not a laser. A laser fires one single wavelength; intense pulsed light covers a range of them, which is what lets a single treatment address pigment and redness at the same time.

It is the treatment for sun damage, and living on the Grand Strand means sun damage. Brown patches, freckling that never faded, diffuse redness, rosacea flushing, visible vessels around the nose, and the mottled tone that shows up on the chest and neck years before the face.

Expect the brown spots to darken like coffee grounds over the first few days, then flake away in the following week. That is the treatment working, not a reaction. Most people book a course of three, which is why the Glow package below prices them together.

The Menu

IPL Photofacial Treatments

Priced by area. IPL needs a consultation and a patch test before your first session, and it is not appropriate on recently tanned skin, so plan around four weeks either side with no sun.

Single Area Treatments

IPL FaceMost Requested

$299per session

Broad-spectrum light targeting sun damage, brown spots, redness and broken capillaries across the whole face. Pigment lifts to the surface over the following week and flakes away, leaving clearer, more even tone.

IPL Neck

$299per session

The neck shows sun exposure earlier than the face and is almost always missed by sunscreen. Treats the mottled brown and red discolouration that develops there.

IPL Decollete

$399per session

The chest and upper decollete, where years of driving and beach days leave freckling, redness and crepey pigment that no cream reaches.

IPL Hands

$149per session

Age spots on the backs of the hands are one of the fastest treatments we do and one of the most noticeable results.

IPL Lower Legs

$499per session

Sun spots and superficial vascular marks from knee to ankle.

IPL Upper Thighs

$699per session

Pigment and superficial vessels across the upper leg, often booked alongside the lower legs as one course.

IPL Back

From $599per session

Sun damage across the shoulders and back. Priced from, because coverage varies considerably between clients.

Common Questions

Before You Book

How often should I get a facial?

Every four to six weeks suits most skin, which tracks the natural cell turnover cycle. If you are treating active acne we will usually see you every two weeks until it is under control, then move you to a maintenance schedule.

Which facial should I book if I am not sure?

Book the Custom Facial. It is designed exactly for this, and your esthetician will tell you at the end of the appointment whether a different treatment or a series would serve you better.

Is there any downtime?

Most facials leave you ready to go straight back to your day. Deeper exfoliation and the advanced treatments can leave the skin pink for a few hours, so we will tell you in advance if that applies to your appointment.

Can I have a facial while pregnant?

Yes. Book the Mommy To Be Facial, which uses only pregnancy-safe products and is set up for comfortable positioning.

Do you treat men?

Yes. The Gentlemen’s Facial is built specifically around shaving irritation, ingrown hairs and congestion, and every other treatment on the menu is available to any client.
